West Texas Fire and Arson Investigators Association Selects Fire Smarts Training
Fire Smarts provides NFPA 72 fire alarm and signaling systems training at the West Texas Fire and Arson Investigators Association Annual Training Conference.
This year the West Texas Fire and Arson Investigators Association (WTFAIA) annual conference, part of the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), features three days of fire protection training focused on fire alarm systems. WTFAIA has represented the fire community of West Texas since 1991 and regular hosts training classes and conferences for its members. The training sessions provided by Fire Smarts focus on fire alarm training based on the 2013 edition of NFPA 72 with time dedicated to fire alarm plan review as well.
Fire Smarts, LLC was selected for its expertise in the NFPA standards and experience delivering training solutions through it’s globally recognized expert instructors. The training, instructed by nationally recognized NFPA expert Tom Parrish, SET, CFPS, PSP, focuses on fire alarm system devices and components and the different types of fire alarm systems. Addition topics include determining spacing and proper coverage for both initiating and notification devices as well as fire alarm system acceptance testing.
