Training Webinar on the Basics of NFPA 13 Fire Sprinkler Systems

Webinar presentation will educate facility managers, building and fire officials and service providers on the basics of NFPA 13 for the design and installation of fire sprinkler systems.

A new webinar has been prepared by Fire Smarts, LLC to educate facility managers, building and fire officials and service providers worldwide to provide an introduction to NFPA 13 Fire Sprinkler Systems. This includes an understanding of the four major system types, the basic components, design objectives, and basic installation principles. The webinar is part of the online training fire protection resources offered by Fire Smarts.

The “Introduction to NFPA 13 Fire Sprinkler Systems” webinar will be presented by fire protection industry expert, Ralph Bless, P.E., SET, CFPS, on Thursday, August 10 at 2:00pm Eastern. During this 90-minute training, Mr. Bless will review the 3 essential components of a sprinkler system, explain design objectives, discuss 4 major sprinkler system types and their application, and locate and apply the basic installation requirements for sprinkler system components. Acceptance testing requirements will also be reviewed that ensure that the finished sprinkler system functions as intended.

Webinar instructor, Ralph Bless, P.E., SET, CFPS, has more than 35 years’ experience in fire protection including a broad range of water based and special hazard system design, code consulting and fire protection engineering services. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in six states, a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Level IV NICET senior fire sprinkler layout technician and holds three additional NICET certifications, as well as eight state licenses. He chairs the NFPA technical committee for Record Storage, NFPA 232, and serves on the NFPA technical committees for Water Spray Systems, NFPA 15 as well as the NFPA 13 Installation Technical Committee and Correlating Committee.
