Training Webinar on Restoring Fire Protection Systems Following a Hurricane

Webinar presentation will educate facility managers, building and fire officials and service providers with guidance for reviewing and restoring fire and life safety systems after a disaster.

The recent hurricanes have impacted millions and while much of the focus has been on damaged homes and displaced families, there are also thousands of commercial buildings impaired with facility managers working tirelessly to get back to business.

To contribute to the relief effort and help all those impacted by these storms Fire Smarts has prepared and is presenting a free training webinar discussing things to consider and common needs when getting a building’s fire protection systems back in service.

The “Hurricane and Tropical Storm Recovery for Fire and Life Safety Systems” webinar will be presented by fire protection industry expert, Tom Parrish, SET, CFPS, PSP, on Friday, September 29 at 2:00pm Eastern. During this 90-minute training, Mr. Parrish will cover how to determine flood level elevation and identify potentially damaged equipment while reviewing procedures to evaluate electrical equipment prior to energizing. Key requirements of NFPA 72 will be reviewed, including requirements for inspection and testing that needs to be conducted prior to placing systems back in service.

Registration is free and open to the public. For more information and to register for this webinar click here Hurricane and Tropical Storm Recovery for Fire and Life Safety System.
