This course begins with a review of the different types of aircraft hangars and focuses on the fire protection requirements for Type I hangars. Fire protection system installation requirements will be reviewed with illustrations of acceptable and unacceptable layouts. The presenter will also examine the requirements for inspection, acceptance testing and maintenance of fire protection systems for aircraft hangars as well as the required documentation for an approved installation.
