While the use of water spray systems for vapor mitigation has long been used in the industrial environment, many are unaware of the requirement for a Fire Risk Analysis as outlined in NFPA 15 ‘Standard for Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection’. This course will provide an overview of the requirements as well as real world examples and implementation techniques to consider when conducting an analysis. In addition, the fundamentals of vapor clouds and their inherent danger will be discussed, focusing on the potential impact to people, property and reputation.
