Maintenance Considerations in Fire Alarm Design

Course Description: Decisions made during the fire alarm design process can impact the lifelong maintenance of the system after installation. This course will give the fire alarm designer an understanding of how fundamental design elements can positively or negatively impact the future cost and ease of maintenance. This includes reviewing placement of duct detectors, linear heat detection and aspirating smoke detection as well as best practices to consider from the perspective of a field technician.
