Standpipe and Hose Systems are critical fire protection systems designed for the use of trained fire department personnel. This course is based on NFPA 14 ‘Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems’ and discusses what is a standpipe system, when are they needed in a fire protection system, what types and classes of standpipes are available, basic design considerations for new systems, and ongoing maintenance needs for existing systems.
