Fire sprinklers manufactured since 2000 have a Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) that provides the characteristics and capabilities of the sprinkler. This information is critical to ensure the sprinkler conforms to the design basis of the system and when a proper replacement sprinkler is needed. This course focuses on how to identify fire sprinklers manufactured without a SIN by using the frame and other markings. The presenter will provide multiple examples of how to analyze a fire sprinkler and decipher the information gathered to determine the manufacturer and K-factor.
