NFPA 25 ‘Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems’ contains guidance in Annex Table A.3.3.8 for the classification of abnormal conditions found during the performance of ITM. This table provides valuable information for property owners, enforcers, and service providers, however, its use must be accompanied by an understanding of its purpose, limitations, and of the additional guidance provided in the Annex. The 2023 edition of the standard has extensive revisions to the table along with a reorganization of the associated text to ensure that it is used properly. This course examines the history of the table including the changes that have occurred since its introduction in the 2011 edition. The presenter will also provide an examination of how to effectively classify conditions based on the standard.

• Locate and properly apply Table A.3.3.8 for the classification of system conditions
