Webinar: Hydraulic Calculations for Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems
Webinar: Hydraulic Calculations
for Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems
With the new International Residential Code (IRC) requirement to provide fire sprinkler systems in new homes, there is a growing demand to understand hydraulic calculations for a residential sprinkler system. The size of pipe and number and type of sprinklers used in residential systems directly impacts the cost and effectiveness of these systems. Every successful designer, installer, and reviewer of residential systems must have a good understanding of hydraulic principles. This webinar is specifically geared for those with little or no experience with residential sprinkler systems. Participants will discover that understanding and performing hydraulic calculations for residential sprinkler systems is easier than expected. This presentation includes a review of the basic principles of hydraulics, the most popular calculation methods and the use of each when sizing a residential system. Significant time will be spent on using the simplified calculation methods allowed by NFPA 13D and the IRC. If you design, install, or approve residential sprinkler systems, you will not want to miss this webinar. |
